I think the concept of the new promotion is good, I do have a problem with it.
The advertised promotion does not include that the competition sandwich was made within a reasonable time period. Would it not seem logical to show that a " New Consumer" was flown in to a "burger joint" rather than in their town.
I enjoy a Whopper over a Competitor burger, by far, but I have had several issues with Burger King outlets.
Your truly,
Chris Whitford.

I think that the Burger King ads are bad, but not necessarily like Motrin's situation. However, I agree with you that it is bad for BK to simply prance around their sandwiches in front of those less fortunate just to sell more burgers here in the US. In fact, why do we care what other people in the world think about their burgers? Is it because they've never tasted a burger before and so their view is unbias? It's a shock to their culture! We shouldn't be imposing our culture on other civilizations in the first place! BK is making a stupid point and the fact that we're acting like how the Europeans did when they landed in America so many years ago as colonizers is totally inconsiderate and insensitive to the people who were completely happy with their way of life and living off the land versus a corporation in America coming over just to film them for no apparent reason. Corporate greed for BK has just taken a new low. BK = Gov Blagojevich. Burger for Pay.

Martin Lindstrom has a great book called Buy-ology where he tackles product placement using brain scans to see how people truly feel about product placement. It showed that if the product isn’t part of the story line, it generally goes unnoticed, or has a negative connotation.

When the product is a key part of the story line (as in Transformers, or the Bond gadgets, etc.) that product placement actually does pretty well. I’m wondering why GM decided to tease the Camaro so far in advance of it’s release.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band may be just video games, but they are making leaps and bounds to educate the youth of America on the classics. Now that the Beatles have joined the fight, it will only grow from there. This is a contribution to society that often goes unappreciated and the game developers should be applauded. Way to make video games timeless!!!!

I believe the sale of Anheuser-Busch makes Pabst the largest domestic brewery. (Granted they lease breweries, they are still domestically owned.) An old school "American Beer for an American Man" campaign would be a good counter to A-B's launch of American Ale.
